Brian Kennedy

Brian serves as the Pennsylvania Field Director at GoodPower, where he leads the recruitment, training, and activation of volunteers to build people-powered programs and advance energy solutions that lower costs and strengthen communities across the Commonwealth.

Brian brings over a decade of experience in political and nonprofit organizing, with deep expertise in field operations and voter engagement. His campaign work includes serving on Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and organizing in Nevada, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Indiana. In Pennsylvania, he managed a district attorney race in Washington County and led field operations in a special election for state representative in his hometown of Washington, PA. He has also worked with Pennsylvania United on electoral efforts and served as Deputy Director of Canvassing for Pam Iovino’s 2019 special election.

In the nonprofit sector, Brian worked with Pittsburgh United to engage residents about the Housing Opportunity Fund, which provides funding for critical home repairs and rental assistance. He later served as a Regional Organizing Director for For Our Future Pennsylvania, where he focused on educating Pennsylvanians around federal investments and policies and their impact on affordability, jobs, and working families.

Across his work, Brian is driven by a commitment to building people-powered programs that give communities real leverage and deliver tangible results.
