We build political power to secure policy wins.

We are creating the political force needed to elect champions who will lower costs, create good-paying jobs, and help unlock the economic benefits of the renewable energy transition.

Building Political Power

We know good policy begins at the ballot box. That’s why we engage under-represented voters who often decide elections. From cost-conscious citizens to disengaged young people, we connect on the issues they care about most — lower costs, affordable energy, healthier food, cleaner air and water, and access to good jobs. We run one of the largest voter registration and mobilization programs in the country, with a focus on high-salience voters under 35 who hold decisive power up and down the ballot. We build power by engaging voters at their doors, in their communities, on social media, and through their peers — guiding them from early registration through Election Day. We believe those most impacted by today’s policy choices should have a real say in shaping the future.

The Problem

Voters under 35 are severely underrepresented in our democracy
The Facts
How underrepresented are young voters?
47%
of young voters cast a ballot in the 2024 presidential election
25%
of young Black men voted in the 2024 president election—the lowest turnout of any youth voter group
Our Solution: Evidence-base registration and turnout programs

Building Power Beyond the Ballot Box

We believe in patient capital. We don’t believe in operating election cycle to election cycle — we invest in shaping public opinion and political discourse over time. GoodPower transforms voters’ voices into concrete policy wins — breaking down barriers to a better economy, advancing renewable-friendly policies, and demanding accountability. We cultivate dedicated volunteers in communities across the country who gain a deep understanding of how to influence lawmakers, win local fights, and build long-term power. Investments we make now will shape public opinion and behavior for decades if we invest consistently and in evidence-based strategies.

The Problem
Voters rally against the "Big, Beautiful Bill" and rising energy costs, cuts to Medicaid, and slashing food benefits
Policy and regulatory headwinds in the US are dramatically curtailing renewable deployment
The Facts
Renewable bans and moratoria are increasing dramatically across the US
+100%
increase in local US ordinances imposing severe restrictions on renewables — 459 counties and municipalities across 44 states
15%
of all counties in the US currently have a ban or moratoria in place prohibiting utility-scale renewables
