GoodPower Global operates with in-country staff and local partners in Brazil, Canada, South Africa, and the United Kingdom — with plans to launch new programs across Asia, Europe, South America and Africa between now and 2030. Our Global Creator Academy employs hundreds of creators across the world who partner with GoodPower to educate local communities about the economic benefits of the global transition to renewable energy and conservation; the cost savings of electrification; the availability of jobs in the Good For All Economy; the risks of climate disasters, pollution, and petrochemicals; and the health and environmental benefits of regenerative agriculture.
Potencializa Brasil, GoodPower’s Brazilian affiliate, and its local staff work to build national pride toward Brazil’s global leadership in renewable energy, including: onshore and offshore wind, green hydrogen, hydropower and solar. We work to accelerate the deployment of affordable electrified transportation from electric vehicles to e-bikes, and connect Brazilian workers with the near-limitless employment opportunities offered by the local renewable energy economy. Finally, we help curate and elevate the stories of the Amazon—galvanizing public opinion and existing national pride to protect the Amazon from exploitation and extractive industries.
Just Power Mzansi is GoodPower’s South African affiliate. The South African energy crisis has left 86% of households struggling to afford electricity amid rising tariffs — all while load shedding has erased jobs and confidence. Scaling renewable power and electrification, which is cheaper than new coal or gas, holds the key. Just Power Mzansi collaborates deeply with local partners to popularize the government’s Just Energy Transition Plan to shift from coal to renewables, while keeping energy affordable, ensuring reliability, and preparing workers. We also work to advocate for restructuring debt that would free capital to expand clean energy, stabilize supply, and lower costs.
50k South Africans signed the Just Power Mzansi petition to stop electricity price hikes. By taking action, they learned more about the Just Energy Transition Plan (JETP)and how unreliable and expensive energy is as result of South Africa’s reliance on aging coal infrastructure
Local Power, UK is GoodPower’s local affiliate in the United Kingdom. The UK faces a deployment gap of approximately 40GW of wind and 56GW of solar by 2035. At the same time, every day families are struggling to pay rising energy bills and many are living in fuel poverty. Despite this, coordinated disinformation networks are successfully mounting well-funded, localized campaigns. Opposition to onshore wind, solar, and grid upgrades is spreading rapidly — amplified by the rise of anti–net-zero political movements. Local Power UK is building public support for renewables as a pathway to energy independence and to lower the cost of living for millions.
We hire in-country staff with deep subject matter expertise and cultural context, and also partner with organizations operating on-the-ground in the communities we serve. The Good Power Global Creator Collective trains, hires and deploys local creators to deliver engaging and locally relevant content to strategic new audiences that only they are able to reach. This proven method has allowed us to massively expand our capacity and accelerate a clean economy that works for all of us, not just the lucky few. Further, we empirically study which messages, approaches and channels elicit the most movement and mobilization with our target audiences by partnering with the world’s best research institutions and our own Good Data Lab.
