Jennifer Gonzalez

Jennifer joined GoodPower in 2017 and is the Senior Director of Video. In this role, she leads our video and visual storytelling work that advances the transition to renewable energy, shifts culture, counters climate disinformation and inspires civic action. She leads field production and oversees the full video production cycle.

Prior to joining GoodPower, Jennifer was a documentary filmmaker and photojournalist focusing on short-form storytelling reporting on topics surrounding the environment, culture and community. She is passionate about these narratives, as well as the role the media plays in changing and/or sustaining these narratives.

She has received multiple multimedia grants from The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting to report un under-reported issues outside of the U.S. that have allowed her to travel to Nepal, India, Indonesia and The Dominican Republic to document issues including Indigenous water rights and teenage pregnancy rates.

Jennifer holds a M.S. in Professional Media Management and Digital Documentary as well as a B.S. in Journalism from Southern Illinois University.

Jennifer lives in Los Angeles and likes ceramics, traveling, cooking and soccer matches.
