Jim Eisen

Jim is Vice President and General Counsel for Orion Energy Group. He was previously Vice President of Orion Energy LLC, which he joined in 2002.

He has been involved in the development and financing of renewable power projects since 1986. From 2008 to 2010, Jim was an original member of the Board of Directors of the American Wind Wildlife Institute, a nonprofit organization that facilitates the responsible development of wind energy while minimizing impacts on wildlife and wildlife habitat.

Before joining Orion Energy LLC, Jim was Vice President and General Counsel of Kenetech Corporation and its wind energy subsidiary, Kenetech Windpower Inc. Jim has also served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for Catellus Development Corporation, a real estate development company. Prior to entering the energy field, Jim practiced corporate law with law firms in San Francisco and New York. Jim received Bachelor’s of Science degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a law degree from New York University’s School of Law.
