Josh Walker

Josh is the Director of Renewables at GoodPower where he manages ACE’s siting and permitting campaigns across the United States. In his role, he identifies intervention opportunities to support renewable energy projects, ordinances, and moratoria fights, leading on strategy and campaign execution.

Josh coordinates a cross-functional internal team and leads partnerships with local and national partners as well as renewable energy developers to support projects.

Josh has been with GoodPower for more than seven years, serving in a variety of roles spanning marketing, communications, advocacy, digital strategy, and data. In this role, Josh uses his diverse experience and skill set to bring novel solutions to the complexities of siting and permitting. 

Before joining GoodPower, Josh worked in youth environmental education, affordable housing development, and international climate policy. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a focus in environmental studies. Outside of the office, Josh enjoys creative projects with his two young kids, getting outdoors, and tinkering with his 3D printer.
