Lily joined GoodPower in 2017 and serves as Head of Policy and Public Relations. In this role, she identifies strategic political and policy opportunities where there is opportunity for influence and guides GoodPower’s communications to build power in the public sphere.
Lily was previously GoodPower’s Deputy Head of Philanthropy where she supported the organization’s budget growth trajectory with a transformative 10x expansion from 2019 to resource the organization’s impact to accelerate the transition to a renewable energy economy.
Lily began her journey mobilizing peers on campus to vote in the 2004 presidential and 2005 municipal elections, then working for then-Senator Obama during and post-college. She had the life-changing opportunity to serve in the Obama White House and the U.S. Agency for International Development, including analyzing political will for renewable energy policy reform as a founding staff member of the Power Africa initiative. She earned her B.A. from Northwestern University.
Lily’s commitment to accelerating renewables started early in life growing up off-grid in a house powered by solar and wind energy in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. She has since been involved in a number of successful efforts to advance renewables in subsaharan Africa, stop fracking, pipelines, and open pit mining in the US.
Lily enjoys introducing her daughter to the rivers, mountains and prairies in Colorado.
