Rahul Mukherjee

Chief Innovation Officer

Rahul Mukherjee, PhD, is the Chief Innovation Officer at GoodPower, where he leads the development of AI-enabled tools and technology platforms to accelerate clean-energy deployment, improve affordability, and strengthen public participation in infrastructure decision-making. His work spans renewable energy and storage siting, grid and interconnection intelligence, permitting, community engagement, narrative analysis, and AI-enabled organizational productivity.

Previously, Rahul co-founded and helped lead two energy-storage startups spanning the transportation and grid-storage sectors. His work focused on developing high-performance, safe battery technologies and advancing them from bench-scale research through pilot-line manufacturing, while engaging customers, industry stakeholders, strategic partners, and investors.

Rahul earned his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and holds 14 U.S. patents. He is passionate about using AI to shorten innovation cycles, improve complex decision-making, and create more space for strategic work. Outside of work, he enjoys time with family and friends, cricket, ocean vacations, and experimenting in the kitchen.
