“A better and more prosperous economy is just waiting to be unlocked—GoodPower is helping get us there faster. Millions of good jobs, lower energy bills, a more secure grid, and healthier families—renewable power is good power.”
Today, we begin an exciting new chapter. ACE is now GoodPower.
GoodPower is a refreshed and rebranded organization with a 17-year history of impact that works globally to unlock the enormous economic potential of the renewable energy transition and other complementary technologies. GoodPower works to accelerate these technologies to win more affordable energy bills, millions of good paying jobs, healthier food, economic security for families and farmers, and a better economy that works for everyone—not just the lucky few.
GoodPower’s rebrand and relaunch builds on the organization’s exciting trajectory, is responsive to the current headwinds facing renewable energy deployment, and addresses the pressing economic pain points of young people, families and communities in the US and globally. In the United States, more than half of households report living paycheck to paycheck, with many unable to reliably afford food, housing, health care, or their rising energy bills. And, more bills are stacking up from extreme weather events made worse and more costly by climate change, as families face spikes in their insurance premiums, lack of insurance coverage altogether and increasing costs—from disaster preparation to clean up.
Globally, billions face similar economic challenges—trapped in low-wage, insecure work and vulnerable to even small economic shocks. From the UK to Brazil to South Africa, aging energy infrastructure, soaring utility rates, and fuel price volatility are squeezing consumers worldwide. Right now, energy costs are surging in the US—electricity prices have risen over 30 percent since 2020 and are projected to climb further—driven in part by the explosive energy demands of AI and data centers. Without action, this trajectory threatens to deepen inequality, strain household budgets, and undermine global economic stability.
At the same time, all of the technology we need to lower bills, create millions of good-paying jobs, make our grid more secure and transform our economy already exists. Renewable power is now the most affordable and fastest to deploy globally. And, complementary technologies—from EVs to regenerative agriculture—offer pathways to healthier, safer, more economically prosperous communities.

GoodPower is building the political and cultural force to accelerate the global energy transition. We are leaning on an organizational history and foundation that has:
The organization’s core work has been building toward this moment for some time. GoodPower’s new name is paired with the organization’s 2030 Strategic Plan: Upward Spiral, which lays out a bold vision for the next five years to accelerate the global transition to a decarbonized economy. It doubles down to scale what has been proven to work while investing deeply in new, disruptive and breakthrough technologies to elevate GoodPower’s impact to new heights. GoodPower also plans to invest in further developing its signature capabilities: strategic communications, product development with an emphasis on AI and distribution, breakthrough innovation, empirical research and field organizing.

What our supporters are saying:

“Leah and the rest of the team at GoodPower have been an integral part of my journey. About a year ago, I was welcomed as a Board Member and served on the strategic planning committee which envisioned what GoodPower could be. The launch of GoodPower offers a bold vision in a moment with no clear direction; we will unlock the potential of the renewable energy transition to create a better future for my generation and the generations to follow.”
